JU students and faculty work on numerous environmental research projects and activities across the campus. Most of these can be reviewed by clicking on links to the left, below and other linked pages. The student environmental group, Environmental Conservation Organization (ECO), consists of students from several majors who are interested and active in numerous issues and activities. There are students who have become Sierra Club Affiliates and coordinate activities.

The Millar Wilson Laboratory for Chemical Research is a privately-endowed research laboratory housed at JU. Research in the laboratory focuses on aquatic chemistry. Students and post-graduates pursue their research interests in the laboratory either on a volunteer basis, for academic credit, or for compensation.
