The study of the environment involves many different  disciplines, including the social, natural, and physical sciences.  The Environmental Studies major at Jacksonville University is designed to educate graduates to help search for solutions to all facets of complex environmental problems.  Students can  tailor their education to their interests and talents by focusing on Environmental Sciences or Environmental Affairs.  Both options provide students with the strong and broad education needed to understand and improve the environment.

This is the jumpsite for the Environmental Studies Program offered at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville Florida.  The environmental studies major prepares college graduates for entry-level positions in industry and government. It emphasizes the knowledge and skills necessary to function as an environmental professional. What distinguishes this environmental program from others is the integration of social, political and scientific components. After mastering a common core of classes in the major, each student will select a focus track of either the public service and policy aspects of environmental issues or the scientific aspects of solving environmental problems.
