The
Florida Theatre first opened in 1926 and had the distinction of
being the location in 1956 where Elvis Presley performed his first
concert on an indoor stage. The Florida Theatre was immaculately
restored in 1983 through both public and private funding. Today this
venue, which seats 1930 fans, hosts a variety of concerts and
cultural performances.
