Welcome to the department's web site.  This is for the use of our own students as well as prospective students who may be interested in our program and anyone who wants to know more about academic psychology.

Much of the content of the site has been taken from the Jacksonville University Psychology Department Student Handbook compiled by Professor Sherri Jackson. The content of the site is summarized below

In the who we are section we describe the orientation and commitments of the psychology department and profile our faculty and the students who majoring in psychology at JU. 

The academic programs section describes in detail the content for our major and offers advising tips for planning your schedule.

What can you do with your psychology major? The Careers section discusses professional careers in psychology and job opportunities for students who do not plan to pursue graduate training. 

How can you be successful as a psychology student?  The skills section includes materials which review academic and critical thinking skills which can contribute to your success in college and in life.
